How does your Film represent social groups or issues?           My Film addresses social group issues by representing the problem within the Generation Z community of peer pressure and the overuse of drugs. With the world we live in today it is even easier than before to come across drugs. Drugs have been and will continue to be a devastating issue in communities but, the effect it has on teens is tremendous. According to the Addiction Center, "Nearly 90% of substance use disorders start during teenage years". This information represents the importance of why teens should avoid drug consumption at this vulnerable age it is easier to develop an addiction. This will result in the society of Gen Z becoming less aware and present with what is happening in this world. With the accessibility of drugs increasing Physical and Mental Health problems for teenagers are beginning to rise.   So, to address Generation Z's overuse of drugs and peer pressure, we looked at two individuals

Oh we editing editing in 2024

Hey folks, the excitement is still buzzing as Hunter, Noura, and I dive into the editing phase of our comedic film – the one where two teenage boys inadvertently take some bizarre "drugs" and find themselves in a whirlwind of dumb and hilarious escapades. Yesterday's shoot was an absolute riot, and now we're sifting through the footage to turn it into pure comedic gold. Hunter, our editing maestro, is weaving his magic with the footage. The timing, the cuts, the special effects – he's transforming our chaotic scenes into a seamless flow of laughter. It's amazing how a few edits here and there can amplify the absurdity and crank up the humor. Noura, our trusty camera girl, is by Hunter's side, offering her keen eye for detail. She's making sure every laugh-inducing moment is captured perfectly, adjusting colors, and enhancing the overall visual appeal. It's a team effort to ensure that the energy and hilarity we felt on set translate just as well o

Wait we started filming...

Hey everyone, guess what? Hunter, Noura, and I are knee-deep in the creative chaos of shooting the intro for our comedic masterpiece – a film about two teenage boys who accidentally take some bizarre-looking "drugs" and, you guessed it, end up doing the dumbest stuff imaginable. Noura, has been setting up the most ludicrous scenes. We're talking about over-the-top costumes, wild facial expressions, and a dash of slapstick comedy that'll leave you in stitches. Noura, our camera extraordinaire, is capturing every ridiculous moment with finesse, ensuring that the sheer absurdity of our characters' misadventures is beautifully preserved on film. As for me, well, I'm the brave soul who volunteered to take the plunge into this zany world of fictional substance-induced madness. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions, from laughter to questioning my life choices, but hey, it's all in the name of comedy, right? Our intro is a mishmash of hilarity, starting from

Today's a New Day

Hello, it's Kaz and we're back with another blog. Today is Monday and I was ready to hang out with Hunter and Noura to film. Me and Hunter had a great conversation about different shots and angles in class. We performed them in class to see how we would record them at the party scene. As a group, we decided to use a friend's party to capture the party scene which is convenient for us. This would be an amazing chance to capture the culture of Teenagers when in social environments. The fake sobriety will be conducted using the candy smarties smashed up. This film will attack a serious topic for the new generation in a hilarious but serious way. This concept speaks volumes to me because even though I'm not very serious, I know how to shift gears and adjust myself when serious topics arise. Anyways, I and Hunter continued to banter about different things and maybe we should include a character similar to Mclovin from Superbad.  If you don't know Mclovin you're miss

We Got The Plan We Just Need The Platform

Image
Hey there, it's Kaz again! So, Hunter, Noura, and I are super stoked about this crazy idea we've hatched to shoot a school comedy film. The brainstorming sessions have been wild, and we've got this epic plan brewing. Now, the only thing standing between us and cinematic greatness is finding the perfect platform to bring our vision to life. Noura, the mastermind behind the camera, has some killer ideas for shots that'll have everyone in stitches. Hunter's comedic timing is just impeccable, and I'm pretty confident that my acting skills will at least get a few chuckles. We're like the dream team of school comedy. But here's the deal: we need the right platform to showcase our masterpiece. We've been tossing around ideas – YouTube, Vimeo, maybe even diving into the world of streaming platforms if we're feeling ambitious. We want to reach as many people as possible and get the whole school in on the laughs. I can already picture it: the cafeteria sc

I woke up feeling enthusiastic about the upcoming school assignment that Noura, Hunter and I had to film in just 5 days. However, before I could focus on the filming aspect, I knew I had to prioritize my studies and homework. The day started with a healthy breakfast to fuel my brain for the day ahead. I spent the morning reviewing my notes, completing assignments, and researching key topics related to our project. As the day progressed, I took short breaks to stay refreshed and avoid burnout. By midday, I had made significant progress and felt confident in my understanding of the subject matter. After a nourishing lunch, I dove back into my studies with renewed energy. As the evening approached, I shifted my focus to filming preparations, brainstorming ideas, and organizing our shooting schedule with Noura and Hunter. We discussed the project vision, roles and responsibilities, and shared ideas to enhance the final output. With just 3 days left, I made a detailed checklist of equipment
